TRM Architects Office

Overview

The TRM Architects office, formerly the Adam House, built in 1876, underwent a meticulous historic restoration to preserve its legacy while enhancing structural integrity.

Our team reconstructed the side entrance using replication materials that matched the original design, including rock-faced limestone sidewalls, custom-fabricated 4” granite copings with bullnose edges, and a multi-color granite porch landing set in a bespoke pattern.

The project also involved advanced waterproofing measures, integrating foundation sealing, cavity wall flashings, and tile system membranes for lasting protection. Exterior façade improvements included brick repointing with lime-rich mortar and full chimney reconstructions.

Despite a temporary COVID shutdown, the restoration, which began in 2019, was completed by 2021, reviving a historic Buffalo landmark for modern use.
